The hub’s auction was discussed during the Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation (RMC) meeting with the Commissioner, Retired Capt. Mohammad Mehmood.
The newly established freelance IT hub, behind Moti Mahal Cinema, Murree Road, will promote information technology and create employment for the country’s youth.
The hub would give companies and individuals access to the state-of-the-art building for setting up their offices.
Sources have revealed that anyone willing to lease the freelance hub would be provided daily, weekly, and monthly rental work areas with round-the-clock power supply and high-speed internet facilities.
The commissioner during the meeting said that the primary aim of the establishment of the IT hub was to provide a conducive workplace for freelance young IT professionals.
Mehmood added, “The initiative will provide domestic and foreign companies with the best workforce along with a better environment to set up their offices.”
The commissioner also asked the RMC to prepare an annual verification report to review the leasing company’s performance.
The company’s performance will be evaluated on five pointers, including conducting three community and training seminars every month and liaising with five international companies every year to provide projects to IT professionals.
