Police arrested Ali Qasim Gillani in Multan. Punjab police arrested several PDM activists, including Ali Qasim Gilani, son of PPP leader and former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
According to details, the police removed the containers and started cracking down on the PPP workers who entered the hall. Police arrested several activists of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) parties and transferred them to the police station.
Police arrested Ali Qasim Gillani and Ali Haider Gilani after which Ali Haider Gilani was released. Police also arrested PPP leaders Javed Siddiqui and Arif Shah. PDM workers also clashed with police after the crackdown began, with reports of injuries to personnel.
Police also evacuated the main entrance to the venue in Qasim Bagh, after which a large number of personnel have been deployed there. It is to be noted that the PDM has announced a rally on November 30 in Qasim Bagh, Multan.
