Zainab’s father launched the Zainab Alert app for missing and abused children.

On the occasion, Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari said that Zainab Alert would be an automated system through which all state and law enforcement agencies would be compelled to take action.

If a child is abused, or a child is lost, a complaint can now be lodged only on an app called Zainab Alert App.

This app has also been added on Pakistan Citizen Portal. There is also a Zainab Alert website.

The police will have to take immediate action on the complaint of child abuse or disappearance as the matter will be overseen by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The app was inaugurated by Amin Ansari, the father of little Zainab, who was killed after being raped. Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari and Minister for Planning Asad Omar were also present on the occasion.

Mazari said that Zainab Alert will be an automated system, it is linked with District Police Officers (DPOs) all over Pakistan, Zainab Alert is linked with 36 DPOs in Punjab, 33 in KP and 50 in Sindh.

Zainab’s father Amin Ansari said the government should make laws that would secure the future of the country’s children.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Zainab Alert app, Federal Minister Asad Umar said that there could be no more heinous crime in the world than rape, adding that strict measures were being taken in Pakistan to curb these increasing cases.
