Multan police arrested Syed Musa Gilani, son of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and PPP leader. According to police, rallies are banned by the Punjab government due to Corona. A case was registered against Ali Musa Gilani for holding rallies despite the ban.
Police said that an FIR has been registered against 30 nominated leaders of PPP and PML-N and 50 unidentified workers. Police said that Abdul Qadir Gilani, Ali Musa Gilani, and MPA Ali Qasim Gilani have been named in the FIR but Syed Musa Gilani and four other accomplices have been arrested.
On the other hand, in a telephone conversation with media, Ali Musa Gilani said that he and his associates have been arrested by the police. He said that the FIR registered against him was not being granted.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the arrest of Ali Musa Gilani. Bilawal said that the arrest of Ali Musa Gilani was hooliganism of the selected rulers.
