The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has hinted at lifting the ban on video-sharing app Tik Tok by the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA).
According to details, the Islamabad High Court issued a written order against the decision of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to close Tik Tok. Chief Justice Athar Minallah issued a three-page written order.
In which a notice has been issued to the PTA on the request for immediate suspension of the decision of Tik Tok closure and it has been asked why the decision of the PTA should not be suspended till the final decision of the case.
It may be recalled that a petition was heard in the Islamabad High Court against the ban on the mobile app, in which the lawyer had said that PTA had banned Tiktok on October 9 without fulfilling the legal requirements. The ban was imposed through a press release without issuing a clear order.
