A woman was arrested from the alleged residence of suspect Abid Ali, the main accused in a gang-rape case on Gujjarpura Link Road in Lahore.
According to ARY News correspondent Tahir Masood, significant progress has been made in the case of the gang rape of a woman from Gujjarpura Link Road.
Sources said that a search operation is underway in the area while the police arrested the woman and the two accused and left for Lahore.
According to police sources, further details will come to light after the interrogation of the three accused. It should be noted that some time ago, the second accused involved in the Gujjarpura rape case was identified as Waqarul Hassan Shah.
It may be recalled that the Punjab police had arrested the main accused last night. The accused’s name is Abid Ali son of Akbar Ali. The accused is a resident of Fort Abbas. He is 27 years old. The DNA of the accused has also been matched.
Also, pictures of the accused have been released by the police. A reward of Rs. 25 lakh has been announced for those who helped in the arrest of the accused. The names of those who helped in the arrest of the accused will be kept secret.
