UAE formally recognized Israel and signed the peace agreement

The Gulf states of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have signed an peace agreement on diplomatic relations with Israel.

The signing ceremony took place at the White House, attended by President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.

Addressing the media before the signing of the agreement, the US President said that many more countries are ready to establish relations with Israel and soon 5 countries will establish relations with Israel.

He said Middle Eastern countries were fed up with the conflict situation, adding that after the agreement, Emirati and Bahraini citizens would be able to worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The agreement was later signed by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in the presence of the US President, while Bahrain and the UAE Foreign Ministers signed the peace agreement. US President Donald Trump also signed the agreement as a witness.
