
The Punjab Education Minister, Dr. Murad Raas, chaired a meeting called to discuss the automation of the settlement process of retiring School Education Department (SED) employees on the 10th of December 2020.
In the meeting, the Minister revealed that the Punjab government is taking measures to digitize the retirement system of government employees.

Dr. Murad Raas announced:
After the digitization of the retirement process, the teachers would not have to bribe anyone as all stages of the retirement process will be online and corruption free.
Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) DG IT-Operations, Faisal Yousaf, apprised the minister of the progress made on developing the online retirement system of SED.
After the meeting, Dr. Murad spoke with media outlets and said:
The previous governments did not take or implement any steps to make life easier for teachers. The PTI-led Punjab government aims to bring transparency to the SED by completely automating the department.
