Suleiman Shahbaz’s non-bailable arrest warrant issued by Foreign Ministry

A Lahore accountability court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Shahbaz Sharif’s son Suleiman Shahbaz through the Foreign Ministry.

The accountability court issued a written order for the last hearing of the money laundering reference against the Shahbaz Sharif family.

The court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for three accused, including Shahbaz Sharif’s son-in-law Haroon Yousaf. The court summoned Rabia Imran, wife and daughter of the opposition leader, for the next hearing.

Accountability Court Administrative Judge Jawad Al-Hassan issued a two-page written verdict. The verdict said that according to the NAB report, Shahbaz Sharif’s son-in-law Haroon Yousuf had fled abroad.

The written decision said that the summons notices of Shahbaz Sharif’s wife and daughter-in-law are re-issued which should be affixed outside his residence. Being abroad, the non-bailable arrest warrant of Suleiman Shahbaz will remain in force till execution.

Prison authorities have been directed to produce Hamza Shahbaz before the court at the next hearing. According to the verdict, 9 accused including Shahbaz Sharif and his daughter Jawariya Ali have received copies of the reference. The court has adjourned further hearing till September 14.
