Skylight kills 116 people in India

The Indian states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh (UP) have been hit by heavy rains and sky lightning for the past two days, killing 116 people.

According to Indian media reports, the last two days of rains and sky lightning in Bihar have caused havoc.

Lightning strikes in different districts of Bihar have killed 92 people while houses and other properties have been severely damaged.

Only 13 people were killed in Bihar’s Gopalganj district, officials said.

On the other hand, 24 people were killed in different districts of Uttar Pradesh due to lightning. At least 32 people were injured in rain and lightning strikes in both the states.

According to the National Crime Records Bureau, at least 2,000 have been killed in India every year since 2005 due to Skylight .
