‘Six people took me away at gunpoint’ Sajid Gondal’s statement to police

Sajid Gondal, joint director of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), told police in an initial statement that six people had taken him away at gunpoint.

When Sajid Gondal returned last night, he told police that he was taken at gunpoint by six men and left at an unknown location after a two-hour journey.

Sajid Gondal told police in a statement that he was not beaten, suspecting that he was abducted by personal opponents to harm and intimidate him.

According to police officials, Sajid Gondal will be produced before the area magistrate on Thursday morning where his 164 statement will be recorded.

It may be recalled that on September 3, Sajid Gondal, Joint Director, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, went missing from the federal capital Islamabad. His vehicle was found parked near the Agricultural Research Center Shehzad Town and he had contacted his family yesterday and said he was fine.
