Senior PPP leader Rashid Rabbani has passed away

Karachi: Senior PPP leader Rashid Rabbani has passed away.

The family has confirmed that Rashid Rabbani was on a ventilator in a private hospital for several days and passed away today.

It may be recalled that on May 6, Rashid Rabbani, Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah for Political Affairs, contracted the corona virus.

Recently, Rashid Rabbani, a senior PPP leader and special assistant to the Sindh chief minister, fell seriously ill due to  Corona.

PPP leader Waqar Mehdi had said that Rashid Rabbani was infected with the corona virus which had affected his lungs and he was having difficulty in breathing.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of senior PPP leader Rashid Rabbani and said that Rashid Rabbani was one of the close associates of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and his services for democracy will always be remembered.

According to Bilawal House spokesperson, PPP has declared three days of mourning on the demise of Rashid Rabbani.
