Saudi Arabia has condemned the publication of blasphemous sketches in France and President Emmanuel Macron’s anti-Islamic remarks.
A statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry said, “Saudi Arabia rejects any attempt to link terrorism to Islam and strongly condemns the publication of the blasphemous sketches.”
The Saudi Foreign Ministry added that mental and cultural freedom must be based on mutual respect, tolerance and peace, which opposes any action that breeds hatred, violence and extremism and that violates the values of coexistence.
Saudi Arabia has said it condemns all forms of terrorism, including those behind it.
It is believed that Muslims around the world are protesting against the publication of blasphemous sketches in France. Iran has summoned the French ambassador to Tehran to record its protest, while a large rally is being held in Bangladesh today.
