The government has decided to maintain the prices of petroleum products for the next 15 days.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged from September 16 to 30 and no changes have been made.
It is to be noted that the proposal to change the prices of petroleum products was approved after 15 days and now with the approval of the Cabinet, the prices will be fixed on a 15-day basis.
Last month, Prime Minister Imran Khan rejected OGRA’s proposal to increase the prices of petroleum products and decided not to increase the prices of petroleum products.
Sources said that OGRA had recommended an increase of Rs 9.71 in the price of petrol and Rs 9.50 in the price of high-speed diesel.
It may be recalled that in August, the government had increased the price of petrol by Rs 3.86 per liter, after which the new price of petrol was Rs 103.97 per liter.
