Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif has banned party leaders from meeting with the military leadership and agencies.
The directive sent by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the party leaders was issued by party secretary-general Ahsan Iqbal. Nawaz Sharif banned PML-N members from meeting the military leadership.
According to the guidelines, the meeting will not be personal, official or of any kind. Even if the meeting is held in good faith, it will lead to disputes.
The directive said that a meeting on national security and constitutional responsibilities would be held with the approval of Nawaz Sharif if necessary.
It may be recalled that in a statement released on a social networking site in recent days, Nawaz Sharif had announced a ban on meetings of party members with the military leadership and intelligence agency representatives.
