Pakistan Academy Selection nominated ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ for Oscar

Leading director Sarmad Khosat’s film ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ has been nominated by the Pakistan Academy Selection Committee for the Oscar award in the international category.

According to a press release issued by PAS, the film Zindagi Tamasha will be nominated for an Oscar as an international feature film for the 93rd International Awards.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will select all the award categories, including the International Feature Film, in February 2021 next year.

The full and final list of Oscar nominees will be announced on March 15, 2021.

It should be noted that Sarmad Khosat’s co-producer of the film Zindagi Tamasha is Sarmad Khost with his sister Kanwal Khost while the script of the film has been written by Nirmal Bano.

The story of the film ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ is a mirror of the art of living of different people in Lahore, Punjab, in which actress Samia Mumtaz has played the role of a woman named ‘Farkhunda’.

The cast also includes Arif Hassan, model Iman Suleiman and Ali Qureshi.

On the other hand, the well-known film ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ had won the prestigious ‘Kim Jaswick’ award at the Bosan International Film Festival last year.
