The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has signaled a renewed stance given the increase in Corona cases and said that strict restrictions on non-implementation of SOPs could be re-imposed.
According to details, a meeting of the National Command and Operations Center was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Umar, in which the provincial chief secretaries attended the meeting via video link.
Expressing concern over the spread of the Coronavirus in the country, the NCOC reiterated its call for strict measures and said that full monitoring of the Corona situation was underway in the country, adding that there was no choice but to make difficult decisions if SOPs were not improved. Services will be forced to shut down.
The National Command and Operations Center said that strict restrictions on non-implementation of SOPs could be re-imposed. Corona cases have increased exponentially due to the severe violation of SOPs.
The NCOC directed the Chief Secretaries to ensure implementation of the SOPs and said that the number of deaths was also increasing along with the Corona cases.
The meeting said that monitoring of transport, markets, wedding halls, restaurants, public places, gatherings should be tightened. The corona epidemic is spreading rapidly from high-risk areas, wearing of masks and implementation of social distance should be ensured and strict action should be taken against violators.
