Islamabad High Court (IHC) has raised objections to the NAB’s request to cancel Nawaz Sharif’s bail in the Avenfield reference.
According to details, in the Avenfield reference, the Islamabad High Court objected to NAB’s request to cancel Nawaz Sharif’s bail. The Registrar’s Office has raised technical objections to NAB’s request.
Yesterday, the NAB had filed a petition seeking revocation of bail in Nawaz Sharif’s Avenfield reference. The petition stated that Nawaz Sharif was advised not to come to Pakistan due to the appointment of league leaders. Advised to take action against them.
The NAB had said that the Islamabad High Court had suspended Nawaz Sharif’s sentence in the Avenfield reference and the Supreme Court had also upheld the High Court’s decision to suspend Nawaz Sharif’s sentence.
Nawaz Sharif misused the sentence suspension and bail waiver, Nawaz Sharif did not deserve this waiver after going abroad. The NAB had requested that Nawaz Sharif’s sentence be suspended and bail be removed in the Avonfield reference.
It may be recalled that on September 19, 2019, a two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court, Justice Athar Minullah and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb, in a short judgment, suspended the sentences of Nawaz Sharif, Maryam, and Safdar and ordered their release.
On July 6, Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir, in his Avonfield reference, sentenced Nawaz Sharif to ten years, Maryam Nawaz to seven years, and Captain R Safdar to one year.
