IHC rejects govt plea for publishing Nawaz’s summons in UK papers

IHC rejects govt plea for publishing Nawaz’s summons in UK papers. A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court heard the federal government’s request to publish an advertisement in British newspapers for Nawaz Sharif’s summons.

The petition sought permission to run an advertisement in the Daily Telegraph and Daily Guardian of London to summon Nawaz Sharif as he is in London. Additional Attorney General Tariq Khokhar said that the court had ordered the release of Nawaz Sharif’s advertisement.

Tariq Khokhar said that the court had also ordered to send a copy of the advertisement to Nawaz Sharif. The Registrar High Court had asked to issue the advertisement for October 19. The Additional Attorney General presented a copy of the advertisement before the court.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani rejected the federal government’s request to publish an advertisement in London newspapers for Nawaz Sharif’s summons and remarked that the court order has been implemented.
