The Higher Education Commission has announced the termination of the two years degree program, after which no college will offer BA, B.Com, and BSE degrees.
According to the details, the Higher Education Commission, while announcing the termination of the 2 years degree program, barred the universities from the 2-year degree program and said that no college will now offer BA, B.Com, BSE degrees.
Declaring the two-year degree program illegal after 2018, the HEC said that despite the ban in 2018, the implementation of the illegal program is worrisome. Universities should immediately stop enrolling in such programs.
HEC will not recognize any such degree after 31 December 2018. Remember that the Higher Education Commission had decided to abolish BABS by the year 2020. Later, the 2-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) programs were abolished from colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
