Federal cabinet members worried about inflation in Pakistan

In a cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, the federal cabinet members criticized each other over rising inflation in the country.

Federal Minister Murad Saeed, Sheikh Rasheed, Faisal Vawda, and other ministers raised the issue of inflation in a meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Federal cabinet members demanded urgent action from the Prime Minister on rising inflation and said that provincial governments and district administrations would have to ensure the availability of goods.

According to sources, the meeting also discussed the rising prices of electricity, gas, and medicines. Federal Minister Murad Saeed criticized Nadeem Babar and Umar Ayub and said that decisions are made here and there is no relief in electricity and gas. The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister briefed the ministers on medicines. The Prime Minister assured the Cabinet members of urgent measures to reduce inflation. Federal Minister Faisal Vawda advised the Information Minister to form a strong media team.
