England cricket team announces short tour to Pakistan

The England Cricket Board has announced a short tour to  Pakistan before next year’s T20 World Cup.

According to a joint announcement by the English Cricket Board and the Pakistan Cricket Board, the English cricket team will arrive in Pakistan in October next year.

The English cricket team will reach Karachi on October 12, after which the T20 matches between the two teams will be played on October 14 and 15 in Karachi.

Tom Harrison, chief executive of the English Cricket Board, says he is happy to announce that the England team will play a series in Pakistan in October 2021.

After this short series, both the teams will leave for India on October 16 where they will participate in the ICC T20 World Cup.

The series between Pakistan and England was originally scheduled for January but was rescheduled for October due to logistical and other issues.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Executive Wasim Khan said that Pakistan will host the full squad of England after their home series against New Zealand, meanwhile we are also looking forward to hosting Australia, which is the future of the season 2021-22. The tour is part of the program, then the England cricket team will come to Pakistan again in the season 2022-23 to play red and white ball cricket.

He added that on their arrival in Pakistan for the T20 series in October 2021, the England players will be able to review the world-class measures that will enable them to visit Pakistan again in the year 2022-23 and play in the Pakistan Super League.

Remember that the English cricket team will visit Pakistan for the first time since 2005.
