Court indicts Asif Zardari in Park Lane, Thattha water supply references

The accountability court indicted former president Asif Zardari in two more NAB references. The Islamabad Accountability Court heard the Park Lane reference and the Thatta water supply reference in which the former president appeared before the court.

Accountability court judge Azam Khan heard the cases in which Asif Zardari and other accused were present while accused Sher Ali, who was absent at the last hearing, also appeared in the court.

During the hearing, former president Asif Ali Zardari and other accused were given charge sheets of Park Lane and Thatta water supply reference while copies of the indictment were also provided to the accused.

The court indicted the former president in the Park Lane and Thatta water supply reference, 19 in the Park Lane reference, and a total of 15 in the Thatta water supply reference.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari has pleaded not guilty to the charge. The court directed NAB to appear as a witness on October 20 in the Park Lane supplementary reference and on October 21 in the Thatta water supply reference.

It may be recalled that earlier on September 28, the accountability court had indicted Asif Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur in a mega-money laundering case.
