The warden of the Punjab department issued a challan to the Capital City Police Officer CCPO Lahore for violating traffic rules.
According to details, CCPO Lahore went on a visit in plain clothes to see the performance of traffic police personnel deployed in the Punjab capital.
Seeing him using a mobile phone while driving, the traffic police officer stopped the vehicle of CCPO Lahore Omar Sheikh and challaned him for violating traffic rules.
The traffic policeman told the officer that using a mobile phone while driving was a crime and then handed over a challan of Rs. 500 to Omar Sheikh. Meanwhile, the CCPO did not introduce himself to the official.
Omar Sheikh later submitted his challan and then called the city warden to his office to encourage him. The CCPO also awarded certificates of appreciation to the officer for his honesty and diligence.
Omar Sheikh paid a surprise visit to the North Cantonment Police Station and checked the police records.
