Terrorist organization BLA has accepted the responsibility of attack on PSX. Attempts by anti-state elements to disrupt peace were foiled, a grenade attack and firing on the Pakistan Stock Exchange killed seven people, including a sub-inspector, and killed four terrorists. The BBC has reported that BLA has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
According to news, on the first day of the business week, terrorists attacked the Pakistan Stock Exchange this morning with a grenade, which was foiled by police officers and security guards stationed at the stock exchange, killing all four attackers. Seven people, including Sub-Inspector Shahid and five security guards, were martyred while three officers were injured.
Police say four terrorists were killed in the retaliatory firing. The attackers opened fire at 10:05 a.m. for five to seven minutes. Police reached the spot and closed the road to traffic, while the injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi. Dr. Khadim Qureshi said that an emergency has been declared at the hospital.
According to the footage, the terrorists came in a blue Corolla car. Four terrorists opened fire as they entered through the main gate. However, security officials killed one terrorist at the gate in retaliation. Terrorists were not allowed to enter the building. Judging by the ammunition recovered from the terrorists, it appears that they had come for a major operation, with sophisticated weapons, rifles, Kalashnikov, and hand grenades, but brave security guards thwarted their attack.
