According to details, Parliamentary Affairs Advisor Babar Awan called on Prime Minister Imran Khan, discussed the latest political situation in the country and FATF Bills issues, and discussed parliamentary issues, including the Karachi Transformation Package.
The Prime Minister said that the situation in Karachi has deteriorated due to political mismanagement. The development of Karachi is on the agenda of the federal government.
During the meeting, legislation related to FATF was also discussed. The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to complete the legislative process as soon as possible.
Informing about the National Assembly and Senate sessions, Babar Awan said that legislation on national security would not be delayed. The announcement of a package of Rs 1,113 billion for Karachi is welcome.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan had contacted Babar Awan, Parliamentary Affairs Adviser, for consultations on important issues related to the passage of FATF bills.
The two leaders also discussed the flood situation and the engagements of members of parliament and said that several members were engaged in relief measures for the flood victims, so the National Assembly and Senate session should be adjourned for a week.
