A US soldier stationed in Afghanistan has claimed that an Afghan prisoner was shot dead by Australian troops as a helicopter carrying Afghan prisoners ran out of space.
The head of the US Marine Helicopter crew told Australian media that seven Afghans were captured in a 2012 joint US-Australian counter-narcotics operation in the Afghan province of Helmand.
He said that when the pilot told him that there was no space in the helicopter, the Australian commandos shot dead one of the Afghan prisoners and sent the other six arrested Afghans in the helicopter.
It is to be remembered that in Australia the criminal activities of soldiers in Afghanistan are being imvestigated . In the investigations the killings of innocent citizen will also be assessed.
