After criticism federation withdrew the services of Fazlur Rehman’s brother from Sindh

The federation withdrew the services of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s brother Zia-ur-Rehman from Sindh and handed them over to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Establishment Division has recently issued a notification to withdraw the services of Zia-ur-Rehman, who has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Central District, Karachi.

According to the notification, the services of Zia-ur-Rehman, a Grade 19 officer, have been returned to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and the order will come into force immediately.

It may be recalled that the Establishment Division had rendered Zia-ur-Rehman’s services to the Sindh Government on January 22, 2020 on deputation.

The Sindh government had recently appointed Zia-ur-Rehman as Deputy Commissioner Central in place of Farhan Ghani, after which the Sindh government faced criticism from opponents and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and PTI Karachi had expressed reservations over the decision.

On the other hand, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had also written a letter to the Establishment Division seeking the return of Zia-ur-Rehman’s services. Zia-ur-Rehman belongs to the Provincial Management Service Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
